Today in the Hungarian city of Berettyóújfalu, Kyiv's HIT played as the nominal host in the first leg of the round-of-16 match of the 2025/2026 UEFA Champions League indoor soccer tournament against Spanish Palm.

Coach Serhiy Zhurb’s team started poorly. Already at the 6th minute, Sharuto scored after a second attempt on an indirect free kick, sending the ball into Oleksandr Sukhov's goal. However, four minutes later, Ihor Cherniavsky broke through from the left flank and although the Spanish goalkeeper parried his shot, Artur Podliuk successfully converted the rebound. And at the 16th minute, Kyiv was already ahead: Cherniavsky moved from the left flank to the center and scored directly into the right corner — 2:1.

After halftime, the Spanish team attacked more often —and on the 37th minute earned a penalty kick, which Fabiñio converted. Thus, in the end it was a draw — 2:2.
