The 9th round of the Ukrainian Premier League season-2025/2026 has concluded. The central match took place in Zhytomyr, where the local Polissya team hosted Shakhtar. The encounter was tense but ended goalless — 0:0.

Dynamo played back-to-back night matches this time as well — they drew against Zorya (1:1) in a match that would have been away for them. Competitors lost points, and Kryvbas took advantage by defeating the home team Lviv Rukh with a score of 2:1. Under Patrick van Leeuwen's guidance, Kryvbas has accumulated 19 points and leads Donetsk Shakhtar by one point in the standings. Dynamo and Chernihiv LNZ (who won against Kolos at home) each have 17 points.

In the race for top scorers, there is a tie: Zorya's forward Pilyp Budkivsky scored his fifth goal of the season and caught up with Kryvbas' attacker Gleyker Mendoza.
