After the opening match of the 2026 World Cup qualifier against France (0:2), the Ukraine national team began targeted preparation for their second September cycle game — against Azerbaijan.

Yesterday, the coaching staff of the blue and yellow team divided the squad into two conditional groups. The first group — those who played in the match against Le Béziers in reserve or as substitutes — conducted training sessions. The second group — those who started in Wrocław — engaged in recovery.

Today, the team conducted a training session and gathered for departure. The flight to Baku is scheduled for this afternoon, where on September 9th at Republican Stadium named after Tofig Bahramov, Azerbaijan — Ukraine (7:00 PM Kyiv time) will take place.
