After another round in the second tier, new contenders for promotion have emerged in both groups. Interestingly, they managed to move up after winning face-to-face battles against their table neighbors.
In Group A, debutant PFL team "Lysne" arrived in Chernivtsi with an incomplete lineup, yet this did not prevent the players under Oleksandr Ryabokon's guidance from fully controlling the match. The home side was knocked out of their rhythm after conceding a quick goal, while the visitors easily read the hosts' simple plays due to their mobility. "Lysne" sealed the deal near the end of the game: after a textbook counterattack, Edward Kobak passed to Yaroslav Dobrohotov, who set the final score at 2-0. This victory propelled the capital team into the lead.
The most goal-laden match of the round also took place in this group. In Odessa, "Real-Farma" suffered a devastating defeat against "Skala 1911" — 0-6. Yaroslav Kravchenko scored two goals and missed several other chances. For the hosts, the match was memorable for the appearance of club president Mykola Likhovidov on the field, who set a new record in Ukrainian professional football at 59 years, 6 months, and 22 days.
However, "Lysne" and "Polsia-2" did not hold onto first place for long. Today, "Sambir-Niva-2" secured a victory in Kyiv over "Athlet" — 1-0. Maxim Kramarchuk scored the winning goal just three minutes into the match, making his team the sole leader of the group.
In Group B, "Oleksandria-2" put an end to "Rebel's" sensational run in Kyiv. The opening stages were dominated by the home side, who quickly turned their advantage into a goal scored by Vladyslav Shapovalov. Both teams actively sought success near each other's goals. Kiyv player Dmytro Vlasenko came closest to scoring but his shot was blocked by the crossbar. In the end, "Oleksandria-2" held on for a 1-0 victory and moved up to second place in the table with 10 points.
Meanwhile, hidden leader of the group remains "Kolos-2," trailing by just one point and having a game in hand.
