Today, the Ukraine U-19 futsal team started participating in the International Futsal Week Summer Cup as part of their preparation for the final stage of Euro 2025 (U-19).

The tournament is taking place in Poreč, Croatia. Nine European youth futsal teams are competing in a friendly tournament divided into three groups with three teams each. Our team is playing in Group A alongside Slovenia and Portugal.

Today, Igor Moskvichov's wards faced the Portuguese, who will be our opponents in Group A at Euro 2025 (U-19). The first half was dominated by the Portuguese, who controlled the game more effectively. As a result, two goals were scored against the blue and yellow team through efforts from Rodriguez and Mourinho.

After halftime, the situation did not change. The Portuguese scored twice more against our goalkeeper—Chuda and Rodriguez again found the back of the net. So, 0-4—the Ukrainian team suffered a defeat.

Recall that the Ukraine U-19 futsal team, having successfully participated in the main round of Euro 2025 qualification, secured a place among the four European championships.

In Group 5 of the main round of Euro 2025 (U-19) qualifiers, which were held in Vrnjacka Banja, Serbia, the blue and yellow team convincingly defeated Montenegro (9:2) and the Netherlands (6:2), and in the decisive match they narrowly beat the hosts (1:0). Thus, Ukrainians secured first place in their group and qualified for the European Championship. Euro 2025 will take place from September 28 to October 5 in Chisinau at the "Chisinau Arena."
