Within the training camp in Spain ahead of the Euro-2025 (U-21) final tournament, Ukraine's youth national team played their last friendly match.
On June 2, Unai Melgosi's wards defeated Murcia (4:0), and today in the Spanish city of Alcorcón at Santo Domingo Stadium, they faced the local youth team.
The opening minutes saw initiatives from the hosts, but the Ukrainians withstood the pressure, shifted play to midfield, and responded with their own combinations. On the 17th minute, a dynamic link-up between Vychcharenko – Voloshin – Vanat was activated. Vladyslav broke through to face the goalkeeper, but an offside flag was raised by the linesman.

On the 21st minute, a defensive mistake led to an unnecessary corner kick, after which Nescherev reacted with a header from close range. Ruslan was a prominent figure in the first half of the match – confidently acted on counterattacks, responded to cross passes, and generally added confidence to his teammates.
The most dangerous moment of the first half occurred at the 38th minute. The Ukrainians played out a combination on the left flank: Vychcharenko passed to Bragaru in the center, who then found Voloshin in the penalty area. Nazar curled the ball into the far upper corner, but Iturbe leaped to deflect it for a corner kick.

At the 43rd minute, Ocheretko attempted a direct shot from a corner kick but was denied by the Spanish goalkeeper. Almost immediately, Mikhavko headed towards goal – just off target.
During halftime, the Spaniards changed their lineup entirely, while Ukraine made only one substitution – Nescherev in goal was replaced by Yermakov. Georgiy immediately entered the game: on the 49th minute, the goalkeeper cleared a header from an opponent with his hands and later reacted to a shot under the crossbar from Marin.
