Today, on May 7, the Ukrainian women's under-16 team (players born in 2009 or later) will play their first match at the UEFA Development Tournament in Croatia — against Hungary.

Today, on May 7, the Ukrainian women's national team WU-16 (players born in 2009 or later) will play their first match at the UEFA Development Tournament in Croatia — against Hungary. Kick-off is scheduled for 18:00 local time in Kyiv.

Also participating in the tournament are teams from Croatia and Morocco.

Coach Lyudmila Lemeshko noted, "This fall, our team will participate in the Euro 2026 (WU-17) qualification round. And the UEFA Development Tournament is a great opportunity not only to gain playing experience but also international experience, as participants come from different football schools. We are prepared seriously and aim to demonstrate everything we can."

According to the regulations, each team will play three matches. Three points will be awarded for a win, and if the match ends in a draw, a penalty shootout will take place. The winner of the shootout will receive two points, while the losing team will get one point.
