Today, President of the Ukrainian Football Association Andriy Shevchenko, as was announced during the XXVII Congress of the UAF, personally presented Volodymyr Myntyan with the «Football Legend» award.

Due to his health condition, Volodymyr Fedorovych could not attend the congress and was therefore awarded separately.

Volodymyr Myntyan — one of the brightest figures in the history of Ukrainian football. Seven-time champion of the USSR with Kyiv Dynamo, winner of the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup and Super Cup in 1975, he played 49 matches for the Soviet national team, became a silver medalist at Euro-1972 and a bronze medalist at the Olympics-1976. In 1969, he was recognized as the best footballer of the USSR. After retiring from playing, Volodymyr Fedorovych worked as a coach in Ukraine and abroad.
