Euro-2026 futsal. The Ukraine national team will play two home qualification matches in Poland
The Ukrainian futsal team will play their final matches in Group 1 of the main round qualifier for Euro-2026 in Poland.

Nominal home matches against Cyprus (April 11) and Romania (April 15) will take place in Koszalin (Poland), reports the press service of the Ukrainian Handball Federation. The local arena Hala Widowiskowo-Sportowa, which can accommodate up to 3 thousand spectators, will host the games.
As a reminder, Ukraine's national team holds first place in the group after four wins — against Cyprus (7:0), Romania (2:0), and Germany (5:3, 9:0).

Euro-2026 Handball. Group Stage Qualification
Group 1: Ukraine, Romania, Germany, Cyprus.
Group 2: Finland, Italy, Belarus, Malta.
Group 3: Poland, Slovakia, Moldova, Turkey.
Group 4: Slovenia, Hungary, Montenegro, Norway.
Group 5: Croatia, Azerbaijan, Sweden, Greece.

The Euro-2026 Handball Championship will be the second edition after expanding the final stage from 12 to 16 teams and deciding to hold the tournament every four years instead of two.
Euro-2026 Handball. Format
Qualification includes three stages: a preliminary round (mini-tournaments), group stage (groups with home and away matches) and playoffs (home and away matches).
The hosts of the tournament, Latvia and Lithuania, have qualified for Euro-2026 automatically. Some teams started in the preliminary round while others — directly in the main stage.
Main Stage (December 9, 2024 — April 16, 2025)
Forty participants (34 best national teams according to the ranking as of December 2023 and six best from the preliminary round) are divided into ten groups of four teams each. Each team will face every other team in their group at home and away matches. The ten winners of the groups join Latvia and Lithuania in the final stage, while eight best second-placed teams enter the playoffs.
During the draw, national teams were divided into four pots of 10 teams each based on their coefficients as of April 18, 2024.
Playoffs (September 15—24, 2025)
The draw will take place on May 21, 2025. Eight teams will be split into four pairs. After home and away matches, the last four finalists will be determined.
Final Stage (January 20—February 7, 2026)
The draw will take place on October 24, 2025. Sixteen teams will be split into four groups. The top two best teams from each group advance to the quarter-finals.
