The official website of the Azerbaijan Football Federation announced a planned friendly match against Latvia for the national team.

The match between the teams of Azerbaijan and Latvia will take place in the capital city of this Baltic country, Riga, on June 7.

It should be noted that the Azerbaijan national team is an opponent of Ukraine in the World Cup 2026 qualification tournament. In addition to the match with Latvia, on June 10, the team coached by Fernando Santosh will host a friendly match against Hungary.
