The Royal Belgian Football Association announced today the appointment of a new national team head coach.

According to an official statement from the KBFA, it is French specialist Rudi Garcia. The coach has signed a contract until the end of the 2026 World Cup.

Thus, it is the 60-year-old Frenchman who will prepare the «Red Devils» for the League of Nations playoff matches against Ukraine to qualify for division A, which will take place on March 20 in Murcia and on March 23 in Genk.

It should be noted that during his coaching career, Rudi Garcia worked with French teams «Saint-Étienne», «Dijon», «Le Mans», «Lille», «Marseille» and «Lyon», as well as Italian teams «Roma» and «Napoli».

With «Lille», Garcia became the champion of France (2010/2011) and won the French Cup (2010/2011), with «Marseille» he reached the final of the Europa League (2017/2018).
