The Ukrainian Association of Football (UAF) announces the conclusion of its contract with Honored Coach of Ukraine Yuriy Moroz.
We extend our gratitude to the coach for his collaboration and wish him continued success and victories in his future endeavors.
Yuriy Moroz dedicated many years of his career to working with Ukraine's national teams. He was one of the coaches who helped the generation of players born in 1990 secure the gold medals at the UEFA EURO 2009 (U-19), a tournament hosted in Donetsk and Mariupol. Initially serving as part of Yuriy Kalitvintsev's coaching staff, Moroz led the team from 2007 to 2009 before handing over the reins to Kalitvintsev ahead of the EURO 2009 finals.
In 2009, Moroz began working with the generation of players born in 1994, leading them in two qualifying campaigns — UEFA EURO 2011 (U-17) and UEFA EURO 2013 (U-19).
Simultaneously, he assisted Pavlo Yakovenko in the U-21 national team and managed the squad in several matches (2010, 2012).
In 2022, Moroz returned to coaching Ukraine's youth teams, starting with players born in 2006, guiding them through the UEFA EURO 2023 (U-17) qualifiers. In 2024, he took charge of younger youth teams (U-17 and below) and worked with three different squads — players born in 2007, 2008, and 2009 — throughout the year.
Notably, he led the team born in 2007 to an impressive performance in the elite round of the UEFA EURO 2024 (U-17) qualifiers and managed them during the final tournament. In October 2024, he successfully guided the 2008-born players to the elite round of the UEFA EURO 2025 (U-17) qualifiers.
