Ukrainian Legion players for the first part of the 2024/2025 club season: Roman Yaremchuk

The first part of the 2024/2025 club season for Ukraine's national team striker Roman Yaremchuk at Greek Olympiacos cannot be called successful.

Our footballer participated in only 11 matches for "Oly," did not play a full match once, and scored just one goal. That achievement occurred as early as August 26.

The reasons for Roman's poor performance are evident: difficult adaptation to the new country, league, and team, which led to mistrust from the club's coaching staff. Imagine that the Ukrainian player received his most playing time in a match on September 26 against French Lyon (60 minutes) in the Europa League. Since then, he has only once started for the Greeks, frequently coming off the bench.

It is hard to predict how things will go in the second half of the season, but it is undeniable that Yaremchuk needs to do something about this situation urgently. Ideally, he should start today evening when Piraeus-based Olympiacos travels to face Panetolikos in the 17th round of the Greek Super League (kickoff at 6:00 PM Kyiv time).
