Unfortunately, we must note that the first part of the 2024/2025 club season for Ukraine's national team goalkeeper Andriy Lunin at Real Madrid has been, to put it mildly, unsuccessful in terms of playing time.

As per a bad tradition, only injuries to star Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois provided Andriy with the chance to show himself in two Champions League matches (four goals conceded) and three La Liga games (four goals conceded). Note that Lunin last played on November 9 when Real Madrid thrashed Osasuna in the league – 4:0.

If nothing changes, the Ukrainian is likely to remain in a similar position until the end of the season, most probably getting an opportunity to play in the Copa del Rey, where his team will start their campaign on January 6 with an away match against fourth division side Deportivo Minero.
