In the penultimate round of the first stage, participants of groups who will compete for promotion and to secure their place in the second-tier division next year became known.
In Group «A», the decisive match was between «Mеталіст» and «Mинаєм». The Zakarpattya team secured victory, but despite the Kharkivians playing sub-optimally for various reasons, they managed to secure a convincing win with a score of 3:0. Cvetrenko started off at 18 years old and soon marked his presence with Chidomere practically settling the issue in favor of the hosts, who scored their third goal under pressure.
The central match in this group was «Eпіцентр» vs. «Агробізнес». The home team took advantage of the visitors' recent sluggishness and scored twice at crucial moments—just before halftime and near the end of the game. Under Sergei Nagornyak's guidance, his players seized control (2:0) and can become winter champions if they win against «Поділлям» in the next round.
In Group «B», today's most interesting match was between «Mеталіст 1925» and «Кудрівка». Since all points are carried over to the second stage, it was crucial for the Slobozhans to continue their impressive winning streak. However, the visitors had other plans. In the middle of the first half, Rogozynsky opened the scoring, and near the end of the match, Storchous upset the Kharkivians' goalkeeper again. 0:2.
«Полтава» also secured a victory against «Mаріуполя»—2:1.
