In Matchday 4 of the Nations League 2024/2025, two Ukraine national team players were named Men of the Match following their 1:1 draw against the Czechia — goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin and midfielder Ivan Kalyuzhnyi.

After the match, both players shared their thoughts.

"I’m happy for Ivan, who made a strong impression in his very first call-up. I hope he continues to be the Man of the Match, but ideally, we need to back that up with wins. That save? I probably made it thanks to my reflexes. However, I’m still upset because we wanted the victory. We could have secured six points in these two matches. There’s a lingering disappointment. It’s tough to play on the third day after giving so much energy against Georgia," Trubin commented.

"Thanks to the fans! Unfortunately, today’s game wasn’t as exciting as we hoped. As for myself, I’ll keep giving everything in every match to be useful for the team. Four points is a decent result, but six would’ve been better. We have two games ahead, and we need to win both to finish first in the group," added Ivan Kalyuzhnyi.
