Mykhailo Mudryk, midfielder of the Ukraine national team, was named "Man of the Match" on matchday 3 of the 2024/2025 Nations League after Ukraine's 1:0 win over Georgia.

To recap, Mudryk scored the winning goal in the match against Georgia. After the game, he shared his thoughts:

"It’s a great feeling to receive this award. There was a lot of criticism before the game against Georgia. Experts were discussing the team, the coaching staff, and the players. People kept bringing up the fact that Georgia had crushed Czechia, while we lost our last match, and some said there was no point in even playing against Georgia. I want to thank the fans who always support the team, regardless of the results, as matches can be both good and bad.

Today, considering the team's effort on the pitch, we deserved this victory.

The goal? We won the ball back, I dribbled past a few defenders and took a deliberate shot. I’m happy to bring this victory to all of Ukraine. These three points are extremely valuable for the team," said Mykhailo Mudryk.

As a reminder, Ukraine's next Nations League match will be on October 14 in Wrocław, where they will face Czechia.
