Today, on October 11, the Ukraine U-19 national team (players born in or after 2006) will start a tournament involving four teams in Marbella as part of their preparation for the Euro-2025 qualification.

The matches will be held under an Olympic system, although it should be noted that three participants will have players from the U-18 age category on their roster. On October 11, semi-finals between Ukraine and Netherlands and England against Sweden are scheduled to take place. Matches for third place and the final are planned for October 14.

"At this camp, two matches in Marbella will serve as a platform to find the best combinations of players in defense and attack. We need good sparring sessions to understand which players are better suited for different tactical setups. We have new players whom the coaching staff wants to see with their own eyes. These are players who performed well at club level in September-October. And after this camp, we will decide who will go to the Euro 2025 qualification."

"Despite facing teams that are a year younger in sparring matches during our training session in Spain, the importance of these games does not diminish. Above all, we look at our own players. We need to understand which players are better suited for different situations," — noted head coach of Ukraine's youth team Dmitry Mykhaylenko.
