On October 5, the Ukrainian youth team arrived in Belgium, where from October 9 to 15, a qualification tournament for Euro-2025 (U-17) will take place. There, under Yuriy Moroz's guidance, they will play against the hosts and also against teams from Kosovo and Kazakhstan. To advance to the next round of selection, it is necessary to secure at least second place in their group.

"We have studied well the teams from Kosovo and Kazakhstan. We've analyzed Belgium as well, but we will meet with the hosts in our last match, so we can observe them during the tournament. It's important that our players don't forget about their strength, about their game. Naturally, we will strive to win each match, but our main goal is to advance to the next round of the European Championship qualification. I'll say it again: Belgium is the favorite, but we have our own plans," noted the head coach of Ukraine's U-17 youth team Yuriy Moroz.

Two best teams from each group will advance to the second round of selection. After that, in spring 2025, 28 participants will compete for seven spots in League A's seven groups for the final tournament, which will take place in Albania during summer. The host team has automatically qualified but will participate in the qualification.

The rest of the teams will play in League B and fight for places in League A of the first selection stage for Euro-2027 (U-19).

It is worth noting that Euro-2025 (U-17) will serve as a qualifier for the 2025 World Cup in the U-17 category, which will feature 48 teams and take place in Qatar.
