As part of the training camp, the first friendly match took place between the Ukraine WU-19 and WU-17 women's teams.
The match was held at the Ternopil City Stadium named after R. Shukhevych, as reported by the Ukrainian Women's Association of Football.

The game ended with a hard-fought victory for Nataliya Ihnatovych's WU-19 side. However, the first half belonged to the WU-17 team, who not only created more chances but also capitalized on one. In the 36th minute, Karina Lespukh made a decisive move to finish a cross and put her team ahead.
After the break, the game changed significantly. The more experienced WU-19 players took control, and Anastasiya Chubak in the WU-17 goal faced increased pressure. In the 58th minute, Diana Borovska leveled the score with a powerful strike from outside the penalty area.
Neither team was willing to concede, and both sides worked hard, but the match was ultimately decided by a penalty. In the 89th minute, WU-19 captain Lidiya Zaborovets calmly converted the spot-kick, securing a 2:1 win for her team.
The two teams are set to meet again on Saturday, September 7. Afterward, the players will return to their respective clubs and prepare for the next stage of the Euro qualification, which will take place in November.

The Ukraine WU-19 team is preparing for Round 1 of the EURO 2025 (WU-19) Qualifiers, where they will face Israel and Armenia in Group B6.
The matches in this group will be hosted by Armenia at the end of November. Ukraine will play the hosts on November 26 and Israel on November 29. To advance, the team needs to either win the group or finish as the best runner-up among six second-placed teams.
Meanwhile, Yuriy Sapronov's WU-17 squad is preparing for Round 1 of the EURO 2025 (WU-17) Qualifiers, where they will face Romania, Malta, and Moldova in Group B2.
The matches will be held in Malta in November. Ukraine will play Moldova on November 13, Malta on November 16, and Romania on November 19. To advance, the team must either win the group or finish as the best second-placed team among the six groups.
