Kyiv Dynamo continued its path in this year's Champions League with a home match against the Scottish Rangers in the third qualifying round.

In the previous stage, Shovkovskiy's team eliminated Serbian Partizan. Now they face Scotland's vice-champion, Rangers. Dynamo played their home match in Lublin, Poland.

As early as the second minute, Bushchan had to intervene, parrying shots from Lawrence and Dessers. Dynamo responded with a shot by Brazyk over the crossbar following a corner kick. On the 18th minute, Batland blocked Vovcharenko's shot, while Vanat sent the ball into the net but was offside. Later, after MacCollum's long attempt, Dynamo defended successfully. The white and blues replied with Pichaluk's excellent shot from outside the penalty area, which the goalkeeper reacted to.

The game calmed down somewhat afterwards, but on the 38th minute, Dynamo opened the score – Yarmolenko finished a fantastic combination involving Karavaev and Vanat. Later, Shaparenko shot over the crossbar from distance.

After halftime, Bushchan saved his team after Dessers' shot following a flank pass. The Dynamos also conducted decent attacks but lacked the final pass. Later, Bushchan cleared to Lawrence's corner kick with his head. When it seemed that the white and blues would secure victory, their opponents equalized. On the 4th minute of added time, Dessers scored from Black's flank pass – 1:1.

In Dynamo's lineup were players from Ukraine's national team whom Serhiy Rebrov called up for Euro 2024: Bushchan, Yarmolenko (goal, substituted in the 77th minute), Shaparenko (substituted in the 69th minute), Brazyk, Vanat (corner kick).
