The Ukrainian WU-17 women's team finished last in their group during the second round of this year's European qualification and were relegated to League B. According to the draw results for the first round of Euro 2025, Sergei Sapronov’s wards will be placed in Group V2, where they will face teams from Romania, Malta, and Moldova.

It is now known that our group matches will take place in Malta in November. On the 13th, the blue-and-yellow team will play against Moldova, on the 16th — against the hosts, and on the 19th — against Romania. To improve their ranking, our team needs to either secure first place or become one of the best second-placed teams among six.

League A

In League A, 28 teams will compete, including the current champion, Spain, and seven teams that moved up from League B based on the results of the second round of Euro 2023/2024. Participants were divided into seven groups. Teams in each group will play mini-tournaments at one of their venues.

Teams finishing fourth in their groups will continue the season in League B during the second round. The seeding for the second round will depend on which places teams secure in their first-round groups. The Faroe Islands will also participate, despite having a direct qualification to the final stage as hosts.

League B

In League B, 21 teams (including those relegated from League A in the second round of Euro 2023/2024) will compete. These national teams battle for promotion to League A across six groups. Group winners and runners-up with the best results against first- and third-placed teams in their groups will advance to a higher division.

Qualification for the final stage

In early 2025, the second round of qualification will take place. Based on the results of matches in League A, seven teams will be determined to join the Faroe Islands in the final stage.
