In 2024, the women's national beach soccer team of Ukraine plans to participate in three major tournaments. The coach of our girls' team, Yurii Klimenko, shared details about their preparation for the season on the official website of the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF).

"This year, there will be many changes related to the composition of the women's national team. First, four players from the national team have signed contracts with big football clubs and will not be able to play for us. These are Hanna Davydchenko, Taisiya Babenko, Mariia Tykhonova, and Yuliia Dektiar. As we all know, recently a serious illness was discovered in Taisiya Babenko, so Tasya is currently focusing solely on her health. I wish her a speedy recovery and return to the world's football fields! Second, Olena Kyrylchuk and Yuliia Dektiar suffered serious injuries during competitions, and this season the coaching staff will not be able to rely on them. Irina Vasyliuk has joined the women's football club 'Obolon' (Kyiv) and is now exclusively engaged in coaching.

And third, if we reach the Euroleague final in September, there will be a conflict with the indoor soccer team. Therefore, it is highly likely that almost all of our team members will be involved in indoor soccer. However, this will be decided by the presidents of the respective associations — indoor and beach football.

Based on this, we plan to invite eight new players for a review. The first team gathering of this season will take place from June 24 to 30 in Kyiv at Hydropark, specifically aimed at reviewing the newcomers. We want to invite girls from big football and indoor soccer clubs. Then, from July 8 to 20, for the second gathering in the capital, we will invite players who showed themselves last year at the Ukrainian Student Beach Games and start training those new players who fit our playing style and concept. There are several girls who rarely stepped onto the sand, so they need a lot of work on technical and tactical aspects.

From July 26 to 28, we will hold the women's club championship in Ukraine. The number of teams participating is still unknown. Its organization is planned for the city of Cherkasy. After the championship, in mid-August, we will again gather in Kyiv. This will happen right before our Euroleague selection trip to Portugal. For this gathering, we will call up all our girls, both experienced and newcomers on whom we will rely throughout this beach soccer season.

Sometime around the 20th of August, we will depart for Portugal, to the city of Nazaré, where from August 30 to September 1, the selection tournament for the Euroleague final will begin. In case of a successful performance in Portugal, the Euroleague final awaits us, which will take place from September 10 to 15 in the Italian town of Alghero.

At the end of the year, in November, we have planned participation in the Neom Beach Soccer Cup in Saudi Arabia. We hope very much that we will be invited there," said Yurii Klimenko.
