On May 12, the Ukrainian youth team (players born in 2007 or later) departed for Cyprus, where from May 20 to June 5 the final stage of Euro-2024 (U-17) will take place. Ahead of the tournament start, coach Yuriy Moroz answered questions at a press conference.

“We are happy to be here, grateful to the tournament organizers for everything going well. We hope to show bright, modern, winning football.

It will probably be difficult to play against the host team with the support of Cypriot fans. But all teams are in equal conditions. I believe that during the match, the boys will give themselves advice on this psychological state. But it will be tough, we understand this.

I agree with my colleagues' opinion that there is a high level of organization here — practically no issues at all. As for the tournament standings, everyone wants to win. But it's also important to show quality play so that the boys fulfill their desire on the football field and beat the strongest teams.”
