In the final match of the Vbet Ukrainian Cup 2023/2024 in Rivne at the Avangard Stadium, Shakhtar Donetsk defeated Vorskla Poltava.
In the first Cup final since 2021, the clubs that had already won this trophy met. Shakhtar had such an experience 13 times, while Vorskla only once, in 2009, defeated the miners in a decisive confrontation.

With the starting whistle, the orange-black team focused on ball possession, while the Poltava team hoped for counterattacks. In the middle of the first half, the teams exchanged chances - Konoplya inaccurately shot from Kevin's pass, and Kane failed to beat Riznyk, breaking away one-on-one with the goalkeeper. In the 40th minute, Shakhtar opened the scoring when Sikan brilliantly separated from defenders and finished Azarov's cross.
