Due to heavy snowfall, the initial matches of the UEFA Development Tournament among WU-16 national teams have been rescheduled. The tournament will take place in Bosnia and Herzegovina until April 22nd. Prior to it, the updated roster of Ukraine's women’s national team for this age category (born between 2008 and 2009) participated in a short training camp in Lviv.

The Ukrainian girls will face their counterparts from Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, and Slovenia. Each team will play three matches. A win will earn three points; in case of a draw, a penalty shootout will determine the winner who gets two points while the losing side receives one point.

“For most of the girls, this will be their first international experience. The same can be said about our opponents as well. It's important to note that according to the tournament regulations, each player must spend a minimum of 90 minutes on the field over three matches. Therefore, everyone will get necessary playing time, and coaches will have an opportunity to assess their players’ worth,” — said head coach of Ukraine's women’s national team Sergei Sapronov.

Today the blue-and-yellow team was supposed to play their first match against Slovenia. However, due to adverse weather conditions, the game has been rescheduled for tomorrow, April 18th at 3 PM Kyiv time. The Ukraine vs North Macedonia match has also been postponed by one day.
