"All players from my team are ready for tomorrow's match. As a democratic country, we sympathize with Ukraine. Iceland, like many countries around the world, is hosting refugees from Ukraine. But we — athletes, footballers, and should focus exclusively on football."

Sometimes we need to apply a more defensive scheme, but we are an attacking team. Ukraine is very strong and has excellent players. However, tomorrow everyone expects a final match, where there are no favorites. I think the chances are 50-50. But if everyone considers Ukraine as the favorite, this might put pressure on our opponent. Perhaps that could work to Iceland's advantage," — Hareide stated among other things.
