A three-day educational-methodological seminar for futsal referees under the auspices of FIFA in cooperation with the Ukrainian Football Association and the Futsal Association of Ukraine took place in Lviv from March 17 to 20.

The event was organized and methodologically supported by members of the AFA Arbitration Committee — Oleksiy Banas, Roman Protsya, Yurii Veremchuk, Oleg Ivanov, and the futsal arbitration coordinator from UAF Viktor Darda.

The seminar program, led by FIFA instructor and UEFA Futsal Referees Committee head Pedro Galan of Spain, included a series of important activities such as pedagogical testing on knowledge of the Laws of the Game, video testing of game episodes, and completion of the FIFA fitness test. Additionally, there was a practical part of the event during which training sessions were held for modeling game situations, making balanced decisions under stress and with significant physical exertion.

Special attention was also given to a large block of issues related to contemporary interpretations of all possible game situations involving ball-hand contact, depriving an opponent of an obvious goal-scoring opportunity, tactical fouls, serious violations of the Laws of the Game, unsporting behavior, and others.
