After the XXVI Congress of the Ukrainian Association of Football, held on January 25, the executive committee adopted a decision to support President Andriy Shevchenko's initiative regarding the creation of the Regions Assembly, whose activities are aimed at promoting football development in regions and their mutual interaction.

A working group consisting of representatives from the regions and the administration of the Ukrainian Football Association prepared a draft statute for the assembly, which was approved by the executive committee on March 13 and signed by the president of the UFA.
The first meeting of the Regions Assembly of the UFA is scheduled for Monday, March 18 (start time — at 12:00).
