The Ukrainian youth team (players born in or after 2007) will play against Greece, Switzerland, and Slovakia in the elite round of Euro-2024 (U-17). The mini-tournament will be hosted by Greece, with matches taking place from March 6 to 12 in the city of Patras at Pampeloponnisiako Stadium and Kostas Davourlis Stadium.

The Ukrainian U-17 youth team has started a training camp dedicated to the elite round of Euro-2024. About how the team will prepare for the tournament, its head coach Yuriy Moroz told the official website of the UAFA after being appointed to this position by the UAFA Executive Committee.

— Mr. Moroz, your acquaintance with this team will take place just before the official matches...

— I know the boys visually from videos and have seen some of them in person. Of course, our work together starts now.

— There are seven foreign players on our team. How well do you know their abilities?

— They are not new to the national team. The previous head coach of this team, Volodymyr Yezersky, did a good job, so we have enough information about the foreign players.

— How well have you managed to study our future opponents?

— All of our opponents participated in the qualifying round, so we have materials on their games. These are well-balanced teams, and it's very difficult to name a favorite in our group. Besides, I wouldn't want to single anyone out — there are no weak opponents in the elite round.

The draw divided 32 teams into eight groups, whose matches will take place in March. At stake are 15 spots at the final stage, which will be held from May 20 to June 5, 2024, on Cyprus.
