According to the UEFA Women's Football Committee and the UAF Executive Board, matches of the spring part of the Ukrainian First League women’s championship are scheduled to start on April 7 and continue until May 23 as per the Unified Calendar of Events for Women's Football in 2024.

The season project in the first league anticipates the participation of sixteen teams, which will play in two stages.

Group Stage. The Ukrainian First League championship is held under a round-robin system over two rounds, at home and away, in two groups—A and B.

Final Stage. The top two teams from each of the A and B groups advance to the playoff stage for determining the champions of the first league: semi-finals (A1 vs. B2, B1 vs. A2), followed by a final match and a third-place match.

Based on the results of the Ukrainian First League championship in the 2023/2024 season, the team that finishes first will earn the right to be promoted to play in the Ukrainian Women's Premier League for the 2024/2025 season.

Teams finishing tenth and eleventh in the higher league, as well as teams finishing second and third in the first league, will participate in playoff matches to secure a place in the Ukrainian Women's Premier League for the 2024/2025 season. The playoff stage consists of two matches (June 1st and June 6th)—home and away (10V vs. 3H, 11V vs. 2H).
