On January 30, the first meeting regarding the creation of the Regions Assembly took place at the Kyiv Football House. President of the UAF Andriy Shevchenko announced the need for such a communication platform during the recent association congress, and later the UAF Executive Committee supported this proposal.

The working group meeting was attended by the president of the UAF Andriy Shevchenko, first vice-president Pavlo Boychuk, vice-president Oleksandr Shevchenko, general secretary Ihor Hryshchenko, and representatives of regional associations.

“The Regions Assembly should become a platform for communication between regional associations and the UAF, and will prepare proposals on issues related to the development of football in regions for further approval by the Executive Committee,” — noted Andriy Shevchenko.

During the discussion, participants of the meeting proposed their ideas regarding the functioning of the assembly, listened to the opinions of regional representatives on the management model and selected a working group for drafting the charter of this new executive body of the UAF.

The charter will be sent to all participants for approval, after which it will be reviewed by the UAF Executive Committee. Then the first meeting of the new body will take place according to the approved charter, at which leadership will be elected and the direct work of the Regions Assembly will begin.
