The renowned and authoritative British magazine FourFourTwo compiled a ranking of the best football players in the world for the period from 1980 to 1989, in which two legends of Ukrainian football — Oleg Blokhin and Igor Belanov — made it into the top ten.

Famous and authoritative British magazine FourFourTwo compiled a ranking of the best football players on the planet from 1980 to 1989, in which two legends of Ukrainian football—Oleg Blokhin and Igor Belanov—were included in the top ten.
The winner of the Ballon d'Or in 1986, Igor Belanov, who is now co-chairman of the Professional Football Committee of the UAF, took 18th place.
And the winner of the Ballon d'Or in 1975, Oleg Blokhin, who currently works as co-chairman of the Professional Football Strategic Development Council and the National Teams Committee of the UAF, was placed at 19th position.
