Poltava "Vorskla" became the champion of the 2023 Ukrainian Cup among women's teams

In the final match of the 2023 Ukrainian Cup for women at the Lviv stadium "SKIF," the two best teams from the previous Ukrainian championship, "«Vorskla»" and "«Kryvbass»," met.

In the final match of the 2023 Women's Cup Ukraine, two of the best teams from the previous Ukrainian championship, "Vorskla" and "Kryvyi Rih," met at Lviv's SKIF Stadium.

The Poltavka team entered the decisive stage as current trophy holders, while the Kryvyi Rih team played in their first-ever final match in history.

At the 40th minute, Andrukiv scored a perfect penalty kick to put "Vorskla" ahead. In the beginning of the second half, she added another goal from Podolska's pass. Near the end of the game, "Kryvyi Rih" was down by one player due to a red card, which only made things easier for their opponents who maintained their lead—2:0.

So, "Vorskla" won the Cup for the fourth consecutive year and the fourth time in their history (though in seasons 2019/2020 and 2020/2021, the team won under the name "Zhitlubud-2").

It should be noted that nine clubs have become winners of the Women's Cup Ukraine. With eleven titles, Kharkiv's "Zhitlubud-1" leads. Also, trophies were won by "Donetskanka" (Donetsk), "Legend" (Chernihiv), "Vorskla" (Poltava)/"Zhitlubud-2" (Kharkiv)—four times each, "Metalist" (Kharkiv) and "Alina" (Kyiv)—twice each, "Naftohimik" (Kalush), "Dynamo" (Kyiv), "Arena" (Kyiv/Fastiv)—once.
