November 21, Ukraine's U-21 national team defeated Azerbaijan (U-21) in a Euro 2025 qualification match and with five wins out of five games is now comfortably at the top of Group F.

"Yes, we felt that we had enough chances, several crosses... But we didn't score and started to feel less comfortable. Luckily, we managed to get a penalty in the last minutes of the first half.

The second half was definitely not our best performance. Sometimes such games happen, but we try to avoid them. Perhaps it's because the opponent set up very deep and waited for us, and we got used to that. But they decided to do something different. So I'm satisfied with the score, but not with the game at all. After the match, I only congratulated the players and wished them success in this final period of the year in their leagues. The main feeling is that the team did a great job," — quotes Ukraine's U-21 national team head coach Unai Melgassu, the exclusive match broadcaster "Suspilne Sport."
