Yesterday in the Polish city of Gdansk, football players from the Ukraine national team conducted another training session as part of their preparation for the match against Italy. The training took place during a snowfall. Defender of the national team Valeriy Bondar shared his impressions of the practice.

"We were all delighted with the first snow this year — literally like children, as New Year is approaching soon. But on the other hand, we think about how cold it must be for our boys at the front and want to help them. And we can do that by providing positive emotions which we really want to ensure on Monday, the 20th. We will do everything to cheer up our soldiers. But it's a bit chilly for us too, our feet are freezing, but we're getting used to it. The field is tough, of course, but what can you do? It’s fine.

Now we need to recall the hard work we did earlier and prepare for the match against Italy. The coaching staff still needs to show us their tactics, explain how we will play, and convey all the points they want to see from us. So now we are working on that.

I have very positive emotions working with Serhiy Rebrov. It's interesting because each coach has their own style. You take the best from each one and every day you become more developed in all aspects. A good coaching staff.

Of course, it’s a great pride when you come to our national team and have the right to represent your country. For me, this is a big responsibility. On Monday we will see what we are capable of," — said Valeriy Bondar. 

As a reminder, the Euro 2024 qualifier match between Ukraine and Italy will take place on November 20 in Leverkusen, Germany at the "BayArena" (kick-off — 9:45 PM Kyiv time).
