Until now, the wards of Volodymyr Pyatenko have already played two matches within the tournament and unfortunately lost both. First, the Ukrainians conceded to the Serbian national team (1:2), and then to Poland (1:2). Today, however, the blue-and-yellow team was expecting a guest match against Greece in Iraklion at the "Theodoros Vardinoyannis" stadium.

The match started very well for our team. Already on the 3rd minute, Viktoriya Hryin passed the ball to Yana Kalynina, who from a sharp angle pushed it into the goal. However, holding their lead until halftime did not work out for our girls. On the 36th minute, after a cross from the penalty area, Heleni Markou equalized with a header — 1:1.

Moreover, in the second half, Greek footballers took the lead. On the 72nd minute, Anastasia Spirtidonou responded to a cross from the left flank and directed the ball into our goal. Thus, once again, Ukraine's team suffered defeat with a score of 1:2.

Ukraine's women's national team will play their next match in the League of Nations against Greece on October 31 in Iraklion at the "Theodoros Vardinoyannis" stadium (kickoff — 5 PM).
