Recently, domestic media reported that Ukraine will play its Euro 2024 qualifier against Italy on November 20 with partially closed stands. This information is inaccurate.

Indeed, UEFA sanctioned the Ukrainian Football Association for fan behavior during matches involving the national team against England and Italy in September as part of the Euro 2024 qualifiers.

However, since appealing a disciplinary decision by UEFA does not automatically suspend its enforcement, sanctions for fan behavior in the September matches, including partial closure of stands (5,000 seats) and banning ticket sales to visiting fans for the next away match, were applied to the UAF during October's matches against North Macedonia and Malta respectively.

At the same time, UEFA’s Appeals Body partially upheld the appeal by the UAF. "Therefore, there are no disciplinary restrictions imposed by UEFA regarding our upcoming match with Italy in November. The match itself will take place in Leverkusen, Germany. Ticket sales for this qualifier will be opened shortly. So I invite all fans of Ukraine's national team to support the team led by Serhiy Rebrov in this crucial Euro 2024 qualifier," — said First Vice President of the UAF Vadim Kostyuchenko.
