The day before the Euro-2024 qualification match against North Macedonia, head coach of Ukraine's national team Serhiy Rebrov held a press conference.

— Are all players healthy? How did the preparation days in Prague go?

— We are very grateful to Prague and the Czech Republic for the opportunity to train and play this important game. They created all necessary conditions for our preparation. As for the lineup, unfortunately, Serhiy Krivtsov has an injury that he sustained in America and will not participate in tomorrow's match. On the other hand, Denys Popov is returning to the main group and will be training. The rest of the players are ready for tomorrow's encounter.

— How difficult will it be to adapt the game plan without Viktor Tsygankov and Andriy Yarmolenko?

— I do not consider this to be very difficult. We have players who can replace them. I am confident that tomorrow we will play with our strongest lineup, despite the injuries of some key players. The same issues are faced by North Macedonia's national team as well. We are on equal footing.

— Are you considering changing the tactical setup?

— We consider many setups, you will see everything tomorrow.

— Considering the course of the previous match against North Macedonia, was work done on errors?

— This was our first official game, I saw the players' desire. The first game is always difficult. It was very important to gain confidence from the start. Unfortunately, we did not achieve it and conceded one goal, another. It's great that we came back in the second half. We analyzed that match, understand that we need to approach tomorrow differently. The players are aware of this, I believe they will be more focused.

— In what condition is Mykhaylo Mudryk? Can we see him from the first minute?

— Yes, we can. I am very happy for Mykhailo because he scored a goal and has looked confident lately. This is important both for his club and for the national team. With these emotions, he will return to the field and help us.

— Ruslan Malinovskiy returned to Ukraine's squad. Why did you call him up again? What is his psychological and physical condition like?

— I know Ruslan, he always arrives at the national team camp with great satisfaction. It doesn't matter whether he was called up for the previous gathering or not. As I already explained, last time he wasn't called because he had no practice. Now he plays a lot and helps "Genoa," so he deserves to be in Ukraine's squad.

— What are your first thoughts when you look at our group standings?

— I haven't even looked at it. We currently have seven points... I always said that we need to focus on each match. Now, we have a game against North Macedonia. There's no point in thinking about what will happen later. We need to do everything possible to take the important three points and move forward.

— How involved are you in processes happening in the youth team? Do you communicate with Unaï Melinga? Is it possible that someone from the youth squad could join the national team?

— We always stay in touch, even after yesterday's game against Luxembourg which we watched. I agree with Unaï that we created many more opportunities than in the previous encounter with Northern Ireland. So I see progress in attack from the youth team. Now we are waiting for the match against England. Candidates exist and they will be there. Unaï controls the training process, tells me about candidates who are in the youth squad.

Let us remind you that the Euro-2024 qualification match between Ukraine's national team and North Macedonia will take place on October 14th in Prague (kick-off at 16:00 Kyiv time).
