The Italian team, rivals of the Ukraine national team for Euro 2024 qualification, is left without a main coach

The Italian Football Federation announced that it accepted Roberto Mancini's resignation from the position of national team coach, which he requested yesterday evening. This marks the end of a significant chapter in the history of the "Squadra Azzurri," which began in May 2018 and ended with the final of the Nations League in 2023, during which time there was also victory at Euro 2020, a triumph achieved by a team where all players knew how to become a unit.

The Italian Football Federation announced that it has accepted Roberto Mancini's resignation from his position as the national team coach, which he requested yesterday evening.

"This marks the end of a significant chapter in the history of 'Squadra Azzurri', which began in May 2018 and ended with the final of the Nations League 2023, during which there was victory at Euro 2020, a triumph achieved by a team where all players knew how to become a unit."

"Considering important and close matches for the Euro 2024 qualifiers (on September 10th and 12th against North Macedonia and Ukraine), the FIG will announce the name of the new coach in the coming days," — it is stated in an official statement on the website of the main governing body of Italian football.

It should be noted that the Euro 2024 qualifier match between Italy and Ukraine will take place at Milan's San Siro stadium.
