In March, the Ukraine national futsal team secured first place in Group 11 of the main round qualification for the 2024 Futsal World Cup and advanced to the elite round qualifier. According to the draw results, the blue-and-yellow team ended up in Group B, where their opponents will be teams from Poland, Serbia, and Belgium.

As reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Futsal Association, after considering several potential home venues for Ukraine's national team, AFS chose the István Pálfi Arena in the Hungarian city of Berettyóújfalu.

The arena itself can accommodate 1350 spectators and at present serves as the home venue for Hungary’s futsal club Mezei-Vill.

Futsal World Cup 2024. European Qualification

Elite Round

Matches: September 11—20, October 2—11, December 11—20, 2023.

Twenty national teams are divided into five groups of four teams each. Matches will take place home and away. Five group winners advance to the Futsal World Cup. The top four second-placed finishers qualify for the elite round playoff.

Elite Round Playoff

Drawing: January 25, 2024.

Matches: April 8—17, 2024.

Four teams will be divided into two pairs. Matches will take place home and away. Winners of the pairs advance to the Futsal World Cup.

The Futsal World Cup will be held in Uzbekistan from September 14 to October 6, 2024.
