Today, on July 7 in Porto at Estádio do Bessa Século XXI, the home stadium of club «Boavista», a friendly match between the national women's teams of Portugal and Ukraine will take place (kickoff at 22:45 Kyiv time).
It is expected that more than 20,000 spectators will attend the game — a record audience for home matches of the Portuguese women's national team. The day before the match, Ukrainian football players shared their thoughts.
«The teams have just come out of vacation, the girls are not physically ready. It will be quite difficult for us because very little time has passed. But I think we will fight until the last minute. The mood will be great. To play in front of such a number of supporters is always a joy», — said Olga Ovdychuk.
«We know the Portuguese girls, they have good players. Personally, I cannot single anyone out because there are enough high-level players there. The opponent is quite reputable, a good team that shows a high level of football. We need to start playing boldly against such opponents. There is an interest from a sports perspective, many spectators are expected at the match, which is new for us. I don't know about the girls, but personally for me — this is a record. It's very interesting, I want to play against such a team», — noted Yana Malakhova.
