Today we simply lacked recovery to be fully prepared for this match. I don't understand how we managed to get here after playing against France. These flight delays are incomprehensible; we were locked in some hangar and sat four hours at the airport instead of recovering. We arrived at the hotel at midnight. For me, on such a tournament, that's a mystery. There was no emotion or freshness that should have been there in this match. That's why we got this result.

You saw the game yourself. The start of it went well for us. We need to acknowledge and congratulate Spain's team — they are a very strong side. Against such an opponent, you have to play at one hundred percent. In our group stage match, we were fresher, moved better, played with the ball ourselves, so it was easier for us. Unfortunately, today the boys simply lacked freshness.
