Legionaries of the Ukraine national team for the 2022/2023 club season: Ruslan Malinovskiy

Semi-defender of the Ukraine national team Ruslan Malinovskiy, like a certain number of other blue-and-yellow legionnaires whom Serhiy Rebrov invited for the national team's June matches, can boldly divide his club season-2022/2023 into two parts.

Malinovskiy played his last match out of 15 this season for Italian "Atalanta" on January 4th, and his first game out of 23 with French "Marseille" was already on January 11th. So there wasn't much time for a simple adaptation to the new conditions after being loaned to Olympique's bench. Of course, two scored goals and one assist are far from what was expected from the Ukrainian in southern France. But considering all the accompanying circumstances and situations of this emergency January transition, it would have been hard to expect more from the talented midfielder.

Malinovskiy's club fate remains unclear for now. Igor Tudor, who initiated Ruslan's invitation, is no longer the head coach of "Marseille." Whether the new manager, Marcelino, will count on our boy remains to be seen in the coming days.
