Today, on June 7, the presentation of the new head coach of the national team of Ukraine took place at the Capital Football House.

The main team of the country is now led by Serhiy Rebrov, whose coaching staff currently includes five assistants. After the presentation, a press conference was held. 

Responding to journalists' questions about the tasks of the national team of Ukraine in the Euro 2024 qualification and the venue for home matches, Andriy Pavelko said:

"We understand that we have fallen into a very difficult group in the Euro 2024 qualifiers. It would be fantastic if we could directly qualify for the final tournament. We are waiting for high-quality play from our team, which fans will see. The boys will do everything within their power to fulfill the task - to qualify for Euro. I am convinced that our players, like our soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who every day show the world their character and bravery, will go into battle confident in their strength and abilities.

There are certain criteria for those stadiums and countries where our home games will be held. We are currently preparing in Slovakia, holding talks about other matches with various countries. We are considering Germany, Poland, Austria. We will consider all possibilities for our team and our fans. There are many issues to address, including security ones. With each country we talk to, these questions are being worked out now. A little later, we will announce them all.

We have a national team, and it would be very nice if they were at all final tournaments - Euro 2024, World Cup 2026. These are the main tasks. We see what group we are in now, what challenges await our team. The most important thing is to build a system of teams. Here I trust Serhiy Rebrov to thoroughly analyze youth and junior teams so that we create a system that works, where everyone operates within one coordinate system under the command of the national team coaching staff. I thank Serhiy Stanislavovich for taking on this task. I expect to see results from this work in a few years.

I would like to thank our colleagues from the German Football Association for their important decision regarding the anniversary match with our national team. The funds collected from this game will be transferred to support Ukraine. It is very important that through our team's play, we can fill the stadium in Bremen. I am confident that the stadium will be full and the game will be significant not only information-wise for the coaching staff but also generally for Ukraine, as such matches help raise funds for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the needs of our country.
