Tuesday at the BSWW headquarters in Barcelona, the draw for the group stage of both men's and women's beach soccer tournaments at the III European Games took place.

The Ukrainian men's national team learned the names of their opponents along with six other teams that qualified for these prestigious games in Poland. Under the guidance of Mykola Kostenko and Oleksandr Korniychuk, the players drew into Group B alongside Switzerland, Italy, and Moldova.

Also participating in the European Games-2023 are six women's teams, including Ukraine. Under Yuri Klimenko’s guidance, the Ukrainian team was drawn into Group B where they will face Spain and Italy.

MEN

Group A: Poland, Portugal, Spain, Azerbaijan.

Group B: Switzerland, Italy, Ukraine, Moldova. 

WOMEN

Group A: Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic.

Group B: Spain, Italy, Ukraine.

According to the tournament rules, both men's and women's national teams will play a round-robin group stage. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals, while the others will compete for 5th–8th place in the men’s competition and 5th–6th place in the women’s.

We remind you that both the men's and women's beach soccer tournaments at the European Games 2023 will take place from June 27 to July 1 in Tarnów, Poland.
