Players of the Ukrainian national e-football team in the FIFA discipline, Oleksandr CIG Grishay and Andriy CIG ST92 Shakalov, evaluated their team's performance in the online qualification for the FIFAe Nations Cup 2023.

The Ukrainian national team made history by qualifying to the playoff of the FIFAe Nations Cup for the first time, initially securing second place in Group B and then defeating Belgium with a score of 4:3 (2:3, 2:0) in the upper bracket.

Player Oleksandr CIG Grishay called his team's performance in the online qualification almost perfect: "Very balanced, stable, and intelligent play throughout the entire tournament yielded results, and we rightfully advanced to the playoffs. I hope this success will benefit all of Ukraine's e-football. People need to see that Ukraine can be among the top European e-football nations, and this fact is something to be proud of. At such a difficult time, it was important for us to achieve as much as possible for our country, and fortunately, we succeeded!"

However, according to captain Andriy CIG ST92 Shakalov, despite the commendable performance and historical achievement for Ukraine's national team, none of this will matter if the team does not reach its final goal in this qualification campaign—the FIFAe Nations Cup 2023.

"Ukrainian players can compete on equal terms with some of the best in e-football. And it's quite strange that only now, when Ukrainian national team players found themselves under favorable ping conditions during online qualification, did top results immediately follow."

Considering the simplicity of the playoff system, I believe it will be within our reach to finish among the top 4 out of five teams in the group. As well as winning the first match in the upper bracket. I estimate the probability of this at 70%," — expressed his opinion the captain of Ukraine's national team.
