During the match of the first round of the second stage of the Ukrainian Football Championship in Vbet UA First League, FC "Poliysya" (Zhytomyr) — FC "Metallurh" (Zaporizhzhia), player Vadym Chervak was sent off for using physical force (a rough push during a stoppage of play) towards the match referee Sofia Prychyn.
Upon reviewing the materials of the case, taking into account the player's explanations who fully admitted his fault during the hearing and considering the absence of similar behavioral manifestations in the past by the player, the Disciplinary Committee of the Ukrainian Football Association issued a decision to suspend Vadym Chervak from participating in matches for 6 (six) months. The player has the right to appeal this decision to the Appeals Committee of the UFA.
The Ukrainian Football Association once again resolutely condemns any manifestations of improper and discriminatory behavior by football subjects towards official match officials.
