Players of the Ukrainian national team in FIFA e-football, Oleksandr CIG Grishay Gryshai and Andriy CIG ST92 Shakalov, evaluated their team's performance in the 2023 FIFAe Nations Cup play-in round.

The Ukrainian national team finished third in division 2 of conference 3 and will compete for a place in the main qualification round playoffs in April.

"The first week was positive. The second one was also good, but we ended it with a negative result. In the third week, we picked an unsuitable lineup and played poorly defensively."

In FIFA, skill is needed as well as a bit of luck in certain moments. Also, perhaps, in important matches, we lacked class or psychology.

I hope that from now on we will show our best game. We understand the strength of opponents and know it will be very difficult, but we are ready for this. We have already proven that the Ukrainian national team can beat any European team," — said player Oleksandr CIG Grishay Gryshai.

In turn, captain of the Ukrainian national team Andriy CIG ST92 Shakalov noted that despite an unsuccessful result in the last game week, the play-in performance was the best for the national team throughout its history:

"For the first time, the Ukrainian national team managed to advance to the first division. We showed ourselves quite well there, so we have the strength to compete with Europe's strongest teams.

We will need to work on the mechanical part of the game. This game week proved that we look rather weak defensively against strong opponents.

But our main goal and dream is to qualify for the World Cup, and we will do everything possible to achieve it!"
