Semi-defender of the Ukraine national team Viktor Tsygankov gave his first interview after transferring from Kyiv's Dynamo to Spanish Girona, which the world learned yesterday.

"The coaching staff assured me that they want to see me in the team. This is very important. Last year was the worst in my life and in the lives of all Ukrainians. A catastrophe occurred, but our defenders are choosing our freedom. I am extremely grateful to them for this. Also, I am very grateful to Europe and the world for the support they provide us with. This is incredibly important."

As a football player, I want to develop and help my new team achieve its goals. I will learn every day and strive to improve my skills.

Viktor Tsygankov stated, "I don't like talking about myself; instead, I'll show what I'm capable of on the football field."
